Silviya Valeva, Ph.D.

Welcome to my Website! I am an Assistant Professor at the Decision and System Sciences Department of the Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA.

I hold a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Applied Mathematical and Computational Sciences from the University of Iowa, and a B.A. in Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College. 

After obtaining my Ph.D., I worked as a postdoctoral research associate at Rice University in Houston, TX.

My work's focus is mainly in Operations Research and Optimization with applications to manufacturing and healthcare.
